We have some feedback from the readers that I am very excited about:
When I was a teenager, science fiction was my jam, to the point that I actually attended Star Trek conventions. As an adult, I’ve been more into fantasy and historical fiction, but Jolie Mason has reminded me of all the things I enjoy about the genre, where technology and human feelings form a mix that is simply compelling and fun. I was a huge fan of the Battlestar Galactica reboot, and this novella has some of that flavor of underdogs fighting against the overwhelming force of aliens. The main female character definitely has a bit of a Starbuck tough-but-damaged vibe going on, which is super cool. This taste definitely makes me want to read more from the author.
Jolie Mason’s Riding Redemption is a novella reminding me of the Star Trek days. Although I was never heavily into this genre of television, movies or books, I found this to be wholly entertaining. She has an excellent grasp on dialogue and makes good use of her skill in this area. I could picture myself playing parts of each of the characters as they spoke. The plot line and timing of this piece sweep you along, and before you know it, you’ve ingested a great story that won’t leave you disappointed.
It’s awesome to be spreading the scifi love. I love it when people say things like I’d forgotten how much I loved that as a kid. You’re never too old for science fiction. Never.
